Each Monday we share a Product, Device, Tip, Trick, Advice, that has helped us on this Stroke Recovery Journey. I am a double Stroke Survivor, May 2016, and we want to share what we have learned thus far.
Here is the Device that we want to share, with our input today.
The SaeboStep: NEW and IMPROVED SaeboStep. – JGH Rehab
The SaeboStep consists of a lightweight, uniquely designed foot drop brace that provides convenience and comfort while offering optimum foot clearance and support during walking.
The SaeboStep was designed to replace uncomfortable, stiff, or bulky splints that go inside the shoe as well as poorly manufactured braces designed for outside of the shoe that lack support and durability.
The SaeboStep can even be worn comfortably with the majority of male or female shoe styles. Individuals can use their favorite shoes by ordering the accessory kit to enable footwear without eyelets to be modified.
What are the changes or improvements? Saebo has now added a 2nd dial and magnetic fastener for easy application.
Most patients can now don the new device one-handed in under 45 seconds, see the video below!
One size fits all! Totally adjustable.
This is a GAME CHANGER for clients who suffer from Foot Drop, and also have limited hand function, due to Stroke, or other Neurological Condition.
Other changes include a semi-rigid plate for enhanced stability as well as improved eyelet shoe hooks for better cord/lace performance.
When I was at Inpatient Rehab, we were given a device that lifts the toes or foot, using rubber straps and metal clips that hook on the laces. Well, the rubber straps stretch very quickly and were not effective, and I kept losing the metal clips, as they would fly off for no apparent reason.
If you live in Canada, and would like to purchase your very own SaeboStep, and or accessories, use coupon code SAEBOSTEP, and receive 10% off the SaeboStep, Eyelet Hook Kit, and or Crop a Dial. Offer valid until next Monday, September 26th, 2022
