This versatile kayak paddle, Versa for short, is a mount-supported paddle system designed to keep kayakers as independent and active as possible. The mount supports the weight of the paddle while you paddle, reducing stress on the shoulders, back and joints and creating a more energy-efficient paddling experience. While in the mount, the Versa Paddle can be used straight or angled downward on both sides. The angle creates a smaller range of motion, making it ideal for paddlers with shoulder injuries, disabilities, amputations and other mobility or strength limitations to kayak. Using a gentle rotary movement of the forearms (much like pedaling a bicycle with your hands), you'll glide through the water with minimal effort.
Because the mounts use a post with an omni-directional rotating fulcrum to support the paddle, Versa can be paddled with one hand. With a gentle tug, you can also pop Versa out of the mount and use it as a traditional, straight paddle.
Versa’s shafts have three adjustable lengths, ranging from 220 to 255 cm, to accommodate varying deck heights and kayak widths. The shafts can be easily disassembled, and the mount can be removed when not in use.
